CCSSO Releases Statement on 2024 NAEP Results

Washington, D.C. (January 29, 2025) – Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) Chief Executive Officer Carissa Moffat Miller released the following statement on the 2024 NAEP results released today.

“The results from the 2024 Nation’s Report Card show how much more work we have ahead to ensure all students are achieving their full potential, particularly our lowest-performing students. The results also reinforce we must commit to stay the course on evidence-based literacy and mathematics. We know what works for student learning, and we must focus on implementing with consistency to better serve all students.”
